Toronto police are investigating the death of a baby following what they describe as a “suspicious incident” in the city’s Midtown area.
Authorities reported receiving a call about a missing infant shortly before 11:30 a.m. on Monday. The child was subsequently located by police and transported to the hospital.
Toronto Paramedic Services confirmed they responded to an apartment building at 855 Roselawn Avenue, near Marlee Avenue, at approximately 11:39 a.m. They transported the infant, who was suffering from critical injuries, to a nearby hospital.
Details surrounding the incident remain unclear as the investigation continues.
