Four teenagers, including two girls, have been charged in connection with a violent carjacking in Brampton, Peel Regional Police have reported.
The incident took place on November 17 near Goreway Drive and Queen Street East.
According to police, the victim was “lured” to a parking lot to meet one of the suspects. Shortly after the meeting began, two other suspects attacked the victim from behind, choking and punching him until he lost consciousness.
When the victim regained consciousness, he realized his phone, wallet, and vehicle had been stolen. He was later taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police allege that the suspects then used the stolen car to pick up a fourth accomplice.
The vehicle was eventually located by police near Kennedy Road and Twistleton Street in Caledon. Officers conducted a high-risk vehicle stop due to the violent nature of the crime, arresting all four suspects.
In addition to recovering the stolen vehicle, police also seized what they described as “offence-related property.”
The suspects, all underage, were held for bail hearings.
