Lotto Max Jackpot Reaches $75 Million for Only the Second Time in History

Must read

For just the second time ever, the Lotto Max jackpot has climbed to a staggering $75 million, with 12 additional Maxmillions prizes of $1 million each also up for grabs in Friday night’s draw.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) announced the historic prize ahead of the draw, which follows a September decision to increase the jackpot limit from $70 million to $80 million. Last month, the jackpot hit $75 million for the first time and later grew to a record-setting $80 million, ultimately split between winners in Ontario and Quebec.

Ontario players have dominated Lotto Max wins this year, claiming nine of the 10 grand prizes, totaling $465 million in winnings.

To secure the $75 million jackpot, players must match all seven numbers on one line of their ticket. However, the odds remain steep at 1 in 33,294,800.

Tickets can be purchased until 10:30 p.m. Friday. If the jackpot goes unclaimed, it will increase to the maximum $80 million for next Tuesday’s draw.
